جمعت شركة "xAI" إكس إيه آي" الناشئة في مجال الذكاء الاصطناعي والتابعة للملياردير الأميركي إيلون ماسك 6 مليارات دولار في جولة التمويل "B" لتصل إلى تقييم بقيمة 24 مليار دولار، بعد مراهنة المستثمرين بشكل كبير على سباق الذكاء الاصطناعي المُحتدّ في العالم.
وقالت الشركة في تدوينة، أمس الأحد، إن جولة التمويل كانت مدعومة من قبل مستثمرين، بينهم أندريسن هورويتز وسيكويا كابيتال.
من جهته، صرح ماسك في منشور على منصة "إكس" بأن تقييم الشركة قبل الجولة كان 18 مليار دولار.
وأضافت "إكس إيه آي" في بيانها أن الأموال سيتم استخدامها لطرح منتجات الشركة الأولى في السوق، ولبناء بنية تحتية متقدّمة وتسريع البحث وتطوير التقنيات المستقبلية.
وأكد ماسك في منشور آخر على "إكس"، ردًا على إعلان التمويل: "سيكون هناك المزيد للإعلان عنه في الأسابيع المقبلة".
وفي هذا السياق، تعد شركات مثل "أوبن إيه آي" المدعومة من "مايكروسوفت" من بين الشركات التي تقود السباق الشرس لهيمنة الذكاء الاصطناعي التوليدي، مما يدفع إلى استثمارات وابتكارات كبيرة في المشهد سريع التطور.
وفي وقت سابق من شهر نيسان، كانت صحيفة "وول ستريت جورنال" قد أفادت بأنّ مستثمرين مقرّبين من الملياردير الأميركي إيلون ماسك يجرون محادثات لمساعدة شركته الناشئة في مجال الذكاء الاصطناعي على جمع 3 مليارات دولار في جولة من شأنها أن تقدّر قيمة الشركة بـ18 مليار دولار.
وقال التقرير حينها نقلاً عن أشخاص مطلعين على الأمر إنّ شركة رأس المال الاستثماري "Gigafund" و"ستيف جورفيتسون" من بين الداعمين في الجولة.
