 American singer Ariana Grande has announced a new humanitarian initiative through her charity foundation, “Bright Days,” aimed at supporting children and families affected by crises worldwide. The first step of the initiative includes a financial grant to the UK-based organization Save the Children, designated to support relief efforts in the Gaza Strip.

The move is part of the foundation’s broader mission to assist populations most affected by humanitarian crises through direct funding of relief programs in conflict zones.

Targeted support for relief programs in Gaza

The organization did not disclose the value of the grant, but confirmed that the funding will be directed specifically to relief programs in Gaza, including support for children and families facing severe humanitarian conditions.

These programs focus on addressing essential needs such as food, healthcare, psychological support, and education amid ongoing humanitarian challenges in the territory.

Expansion of essential humanitarian services

Save the Children stated that the funding will enhance its capacity to respond rapidly to urgent needs inside Gaza.

According to the organization, the funds will be used to provide direct cash assistance to families, in addition to supporting health and nutrition services, as well as emergency education programs for affected children.

It added that the contribution will help expand its operations in the Palestinian territories and increase the number of beneficiaries reached.

Previous aid figures

The organization reported that, with support from similar donors, it has previously delivered direct cash assistance to more than 183,000 children.

It has also provided health and nutrition support to around 83,000 children, along with emergency education programs benefiting approximately 11,000 children in various regions.

These figures highlight the scale of humanitarian operations carried out by the organization in conflict and crisis zones.

Objectives of the new foundation

Ariana Grande said the main goal of her charitable initiative is to support, protect, and provide resources for the most vulnerable populations affected by crises and inequality.

She noted that the foundation will operate through multiple funding streams to support various humanitarian organizations worldwide, as part of a broader strategy to expand relief efforts.

Multi-regional global support

The “Bright Days” foundation is not limited to Gaza. Its first round of grants also included other institutions such as the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital in the United Kingdom, and New York Cares in the United States.

This distribution reflects a broader approach aimed at supporting children and communities affected by conflict, poverty, and humanitarian emergencies across different regions.

Celebrity humanitarian initiatives

This step comes amid a growing trend of global celebrities launching charitable initiatives to support humanitarian response efforts in crisis zones.
