Israeli forces have released a Syrian shepherd who had been detained two days earlier during a military incursion in a border area in southern Lebanon, as the southern front continues to witness ongoing field movements and limited escalations across several locations.

Local sources reported that the shepherd, identified as Mohammad Hilal and of Syrian nationality, was freed after being held during an Israeli patrol operation in the outskirts of the town of Ibl al-Saqi toward the al-Mari area, following an incursion into the border zone.

In parallel, Israeli forces carried out sweeping operations using machine guns from their positions in the al-Bayada area toward the surroundings of Majdel Zoun and Wadi Hassan, amid continued military alert along the border line.

The skies over the Tyre region and the southern coast also witnessed low-altitude flights by Israeli drones, while an Israeli drone dropped two stun grenades near the town of Nabatieh al-Fawqa within a short time span.

These developments come amid sustained tensions on the southern front, where military activity and repeated Israeli field violations continue, against a backdrop of heightened anticipation over potential security changes in the area.

The release of the Syrian shepherd reflects a parallel dynamic of limited field gestures alongside a still fragile security situation in southern Lebanon, where military movements continue amid cautious monitoring of developments along the border.
